We are in a growing phase of massively improving supply by identifying and filling price and assortment gaps and are on the lookout for a Category Success Manager to join us on this journey for our two Nordic marketplaces: CDON and Fyndiq.
About the role
Join us in an exciting role as Category Success Manager for CDON Group, supporting our two marketplaces, CDON & Fyndiq. In this position, you will play a critical part in shaping and optimizing our product categories by driving assortment strategy, executing purchasing decisions and ensuring strong commercial performance.
This role is centered around product management, purchasing, assortment optimization and commercial performance. You will collaborate closely with vendors, distributors and internal teams to secure the best assortment, competitive pricing and strong category positioning. The role also includes facilitation, project coordination and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring smooth execution of initiatives that support the overall category strategy.

Responsibilities includes
- Analyze and validate the attractiveness of the current assortment and pricing strategies
- Identify gaps in product range and create actionable, strategic plans to address them
- Collaborate closely with partners to ensure seamless implementation of assortment plans
- Take ownership of sales for your focus categories, ensuring pricing strategies drive profitable growth while maintaining margins
- Ensure that products are correctly categorized, seasonal items are featured appropriately, and new categories are created when needed
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Brand & Customer Experience, and Product teams to optimize the category presentation and site experience
- Facilitate initiatives that require project management and coordination across multiple stakeholders
- Anticipate category developments, market trends, and act proactively to capitalize on opportunities
- Build strong relationships with distributors, negotiate terms, and maintain collaborative yet firm partnerships
- Contribute to improved customer experiences through careful assortment planning, merchandising, and data-driven insights
Qualifications and requirements
- Retail buying experience – understanding how merchants operate, interpret sales data, and drive profitable decisions
- Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data to optimize assortment and pricing
- Proven project management and facilitation skills – able to coordinate cross-functional initiatives without direct authority
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; able to work collaboratively with multiple teams
- Business acumen with a focus on sales, profitability, and category growth
- Ability to balance assertiveness and diplomacy when working with distributors and internal teams
- Experience in consumer electronics, gaming or similar categories is a plus
- Motivated, structured, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
